PRIVATE JOHN DUVAL CLARKE.
The deceased was the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Amelius Clarke, High Street, Bangor. Previous to enlisting in the Plymouth Battalion, Royal Marine Light Infantry, September, 1914, he was serving his apprenticeship in the Humber Engineering Works, Coventry. He took part in the first landing in Gallipoli, in April, 1915, and was wounded on June 6th, 1915, succumbing to his wounds on the following day. Aged 21 years.
