II.
Land of force and animation,
Where success is ever rife;
As thy rivers' inundation
Is the vigor of thy life.
All and every thing in thee
Goeth fast, and goeth free,—
Goeth onwards, till we laggards
Feel like drowning in the sea!
III.
Land where social Freedom reigneth,
Land where "man to man" doth stand,
Where the worthy toiler gaineth
Due respect on every hand,
Freedom's Goddess on thy shore
Holds her lamp to light thy door;
Signs of Freedom, sounds of Freedom,
Greet us in thee evermore!
IV.
Land of welcome and of kindness,
Cambria's interesting ways
Thrive in thee, with added brightness,
Like the warmth of noontide rays,—
Thy Welsh homesteads near and far
Have their Eastern doors ajar:
In heart—corners there are whispers
Of their praise this side the Bar.
