LANCE CORPORAL WILLIAM COX.
On the City's Roll of Honour, a prominent place must be assigned to William, the eldest son of Mr. John Cox, 30 Albert Street, Upper Bangor. He went to Gallipoli in July, 1915, and in the following August, he was seriously wounded, to which he succumbed on August 21, 1915, at the age of 24 years.
"The depth of our sorrow we cannot tell,
Of the loss of him we loved so well;
And while he sleeps in peaceful sleep
His memory we shall always keep."
