PRIVATE JAMES SIDNEY EVANS.

Private Evans was the yongest son of Mr. James Sidney Evans (late carpenter on the Training Ship "Clio ") and of Mrs. Evans, 112 Orme Road, Bangor. He enlisted soon after war was declared, August 28, 1914, in the Royal Welsh Fusiliers, was sent to the Dardanelles (Sulva Bay Landing), thence to Palestine, took part in the battle of Gaza, where he was seriously wounded in the head March 26, 1916, and died May 5th, the same year. Was buried in the Hedia Cemetery, Alexandria, aged 22 years.
