PRIVATE ROBERT GEORGE THOMSON.
The deceased was the youngest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Thomson, Capel Ogwen, Penrhyn Park, Bangor. He was educated at Friars School, Bangor. Robert George Thomson served in South Africa during the Boer War, for which he held the Queen's Medal with five clasps. He was afterwards stationed in India with his regiment for four years. After his army service he joined the Liverpool City Police Force. At the outbreak of war he rejoined his regiment, and went to France with the Expeditionary Force, thereby gaining the Mons Star Medal, 1914. He died of wounds November 2, 1914, aged 33 years.
