But there's a day
Of glorious recollection for those souls
Who sleep in Jesus. All our dormant powers
Shall then be roused to blossom incorruptible;
This thought shall reconcile me to the grave,
And all the horrors of forgetfulness:
Jesus, be thou my friend, my hope, my life, my all.

REMEMBER ME

Remember me, amid life's varied scene,
There is a chance that I may be forgot ;
But be thy pathway stormy or serene,
Still let me whisper thee " Forget me not."

HYMN

When this tenement is loosened,
And my soul escaped and free
From the chains that bound so strongly,
Like a bird, which held from thee :
I shall feel a joy and gladness,
Which the world can never know ,
For those saints alone prepared ,
Who have served thee here below .

MYFYRDODAU AR FARWOLAETH FY ANWYL MRS. D.
CHARLES, CAERFYRDDIN

Fy ffrynd, cyfeilles hoff, ehedaist fry
Uwchlaw tymhestloedd oer ein daear ni;
Gadewaist ni â galar tan ein bron,
I wylo'n ffordd ymlaen trwy'r anial hon.

Diangaist fry i blith seraphiaid gwiw ,
Lle'r oedd dy fryd pan ar ein dae'r yn byw ;
'Rwyt ’nawr uwch cyrhaedd gofid, gwae , na phoen,
A'th delyn aur, mewn hwyl i foli'r Oen.

IN REMEMBRANCE OF ELLEN

Say, Ellen , why that placid smile,
When death , the king of terrors came?
Did dull delusion for a while
Obscure his form , conceal his name?
