"III. That should the contents of these reports be brought under the notice of Parliament, this meeting respectfully but earnestly desires that Sir John Guest, the worthy representative of this place, in his place in the House of Commons, give a direct contradiction to the statements made therein concerning the people of Aberdare.

"IV. That this meeting is of the opinion that the evidence of the Rev. John Griffith, together with that of Thomas W. Booker, Esq, Melingriffith, should be printed in the Welsh Language, and circulated in the Parish, it being but fair that Mr. Griffith should tell his parishioners in their own language what he has already told the Government respecting their state of morals, and it being but fair that Welshmen should know of the excellent character given them by Mr. Booker, he being an Englishman, and an extensive employer of labour in the County
