Da fwriad hyd ei fedd;
Boed iddo'n siriol, 'nol taith ddaearol,
Dragwyddol lwysol wledd.
Cyn hir e dyr y wawr,
Cawn, weithwyr, fach a mawr,
A fu'n ymboeni dan lwyth caledi,
Ein lloni ar y llawr;
E ddaw rhagluniaeth lawn â'i thoraeth,
llawnder,
Iach helaeth yn ei cho'l;
Er bod mewn prinder, cawn fyw mewn
Mae'r amser goreu 'nol!

To S. Homfray, Esq., Bedwellty House,
and his Family.

May Bedwellty House be decked
With the leaves of ever—green;
And from age to age protected
By that bounteous hand unseen;
May they prosper like the willow
Tree upon the river side;

And crown'd beyond the rocks and billows
With a never ebbing tide.
Whilst the lark on Cambria's mountains
In his winged charriot flies,
Beyond the heath and chrystal fountains,
To bliss—in radiance of the skies—
IVOR's race so long may flourish
In virtue, as in time of yore;
Their names be blessed—the Mill accomplish—
The brightest scene on Britain's shore!
