Learn from her life the virtues that commend
The Child, the Wife, the Parent, and the Friend.
Learn from her death, that Heavn's decrees ordain
To Beauty and to Youth a short-liv'd reign.
Then soar like her, releas'd from worldly cares,
To bliss which God for purest souls prepares.

These lines were composed by Dr. Stephenson, late of Dôl llan, in the county of Carmarthen, out of affection and regard for Mrs. Lloyd."

(2.) Ar un o bilerau deheuol corph yr Eglwys ceir y daflen hon :-" Near this place rest the remains of Dd. Lloyd, Esq., of Alltyrodin, who departed this life the 24th of April, 1822, aged 74. He was an active magistrate, and distinguished for benevolence, integrity, and great mental attainments. His loss will be severely felt by the poor, and can never cease to be regretted by those who best knew his merits and his worth.'

"This monument was erected as a small token of gratitude and affection by his widow, Caroline Lloyd.'

Yn ochr ogleddol yr Eglwys cawn ddwy daflen :

(1). In memory of John Lloyd of Alltyrodin in this parish, Esquire, only surviving son of David Lloyd, Esquire. He died the 3rd of September, 1841, aged 38 years, having in a short life done much for the improvement of his neighbourhood and the comfort of the poor around him. Activity of mind, quickness of perception, and kindness of heart were distinguishing traits in his character."

'This monument is erected in grateful remembrance by John Lloyd Davies, Esquire, and Anne, his wife, who is the lineal representative and heir of the Alltyrodin Family. Also in memory of Dorothy Alicia Lloyd, wife of the above named John Lloyd, who died the 18th of September, 1837, aged 30 years."

(2.) Sacred to the memory of Samuel Davies, of Henbant Isaf, in this parish, who departed this life on the 3rd day of Feb., 1822, aged 72 years. Also of Mary, his Beloved Wife, who departed this life on the 10th day of August, 1826, aged 72 years."
