will take notice of him for the encouragement of others and leave him to continue some time longer here, which will oblige, etc.,

(Signed) WATKIN WATKINS.

Y mae'r llythyr a ganlyn wedi'i ysgrifennu at Madam Bevan, a ofalai am yr ysgolion wedi marw'r Parch. Griffith Jones, ac yn hwn y mae'r cyfeiriad olaf at Morgan Rhys sydd ar gael ac eithrio'r cofnod am ei gladdu yng nghofrestr Eglwys Llanfynydd:

Madam,

Llangunor in Carmarthenshire,
June 1, 1775.

As I have been several times at Morgan Rees's School, I can give you a more particular account of it. He has about sixty Scholars, and the greater part of them small. I verily believe there are but few equal to him in capacity, labor and industry, wherewith the people, as well as myself, are much pleased and satisfied. And indeed, if the Catechismers should lose him now, on the expiration of this quarter, his labour will be lost in a great measure, as they are so small; therefore I hope and beg, in conjunction with the children's parents, you will be pleased, Madam, to take our case into a candid consideration, and favor us longer with the continuance of the said Master. Thereby you will add to your past favours, and ever oblige us to pray for your welfare, and the rest of the promoters of this most noble charity.

I am,
MORGAN DAVIES, Vicer.

Dengys y Welch Piety i Morgan Rhys fod yn athro'r Ysgolion Cylchredol yn y lleoedd a ganlyn:
