this salver, accompanied by fifty sovereigns, is presented by his numerous friends in and near Wrexham, as a token of their affectionate esteem of his Christian character, and of grateful remembrance of his past service among them, as a memorial of faithful discharge of his duties as pastor over the people with whom he was harmoniously united for nearly thirty years, and as a testimonial of the disinterested labours and extensive ministerial usefulness by which through the grace of God he was eminently distinguished 'throughout the Principality of Wales Wrexham, April 1837.
